Training and education

Knowledge about men’s violence against women and the consequences of violence is a prerequisite to providing adequate support to women subjected to violence.
Knowledge is also important in order to change values and attitudes in society and to work efficiently to prevent violence. This is why training and education is one of the cornerstones of NCK’s work.

University courses
NCK offers university courses on men’s violence against women to both students and professionals. The courses are taught in Swedish and focus on men’s violence against women in Sweden. NCK's training courses are aimed at both students and professionals who meet women subjected to violence in the their work. Doctors, psychologists, nurses, midwives and social workers are a few examples of the professional categories trained by NCK.
Contract education

NCK arranges a large number of training courses on contract basis for other authorities and organisations, meeting their specific needs by providing expertise and lectures.
Many of the lecturers work within patient services and refer in the lectures to experiences from their daily work.
